2025-2026 Kindergarten Registration Information:
Enrollment Dates: February 14, 2025 until May 1, 2025
For students turning five on or after September 1, 2025, and on or before January 1, 2026, you will have the opportunity to present your kindergartner's readiness for administrative review by the Elementary School Principals by completing the Kindergarten Waiver (see below). The deadline to submit a kindergarten waiver is August 28, 2025. Waivers will not be accepted after school begins on August 29, 2025.

If you are submitting a kindergarten waiver for your student, please wait until you receive approval from the Central Registration Office before formally registering.
The school district "does not" check immigration status when enrolling.
Kindergarten "is not" a lottery based program.
The only admission requirement, per state law and board policy, is evidence which demonstrates
residency in Rocky Hill and age the requirements described above.
2025-2026 Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 Registration Information:
- 2025-2026 Bright Beginnings Program is full at this time.
- Registration for selected PK3 and PK4 lottery seat winners begins mid-February.
2025-2026 Grades 1-12 Registration Information:
- Registration begins on May 1, 2025.
Completing the Registration Forms:
Part I - Fill out the required forms online via our PowerSchool Registration System available here.
Part II - Once you have all the required documents listed below, you may deliver them using one of three methods.
Scan and email to kennisont@rockyhillps.com. If you are sending via email, I prefer PDF format. If you choose to send documents via email, please create PDFs and crop them so there is no or very little space around the document. Angled photo shots will likely be rejected since they do not print well.
In-person verification appointments are now available if you cannot use the abovementioned method. Appointment Location is Rocky Hill BoE, Town Hall, 761 Old Main Street, Suite 231, Rocky Hill, Connecticut 06071 (2nd Fl.).

Required Documents to Submit to Central Registration:
For new kindergarten students only: The Printable Parent Questionnaire is available online here.
Parent/Guardian’s Valid Photo Identification - Both parents, please.
Proof of Parent/Guardian’s Residency (Residency Requirements).
Student’s Birth Certificate or Passport or Other (used to determine student’s age only).
(Required if applicable) Co-parenting plan/custodial agreement or Civil Protection Order.
State of Connecticut Health Assessment Form and Immunization Record. This is the only acceptable health document at RHPS.
We do not accept-of-state or out-of-country school medical forms.
For kindergarten or PK3/4, the physical must be dated on or after July 1, 2024, and is suitable for only 13 months. If you are waiting on a 5 year-old physical for your child, register now and submit at a later date. Please understand, a student cannot attend RHPS without a nurse approved form.
A complete Connecticut Health Assessment Form has:
Page 1/Part 1 filled out by a parent, Part 2 - Medical Evaluation and a complete list of immunizations, including those taken out of the country. Immunizations may be listed on a separate sheet. Please be sure your child’s full legal name and date of birth are on each page.

A documented Tuberculin Test by a physician may be required. Please consult your child’s pediatrician. A physician may fill out the TB test section on you student's Connecticut Health Assessment Form or provide its documentation if they deem a test required.
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan (if applicable).
